Senior Field Service Technician

The Senior Field Service Technician plays a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and operation of IWOCS and subsea equipment across offshore oil and gas projects. This role demands a high level of technical expertise, leadership, and safety awareness, ensuring procedural tasks are executed efficiently and in compliance with industry standards. In addition to offshore responsibilities, the Senior Technician will supervise teams, oversee equipment maintenance and repairs, and contribute to the planning and execution of offshore campaigns. They will also support workshop-based activities, ensuring all IWOCS and subsea equipment are maintained to the highest standard. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a commitment to Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE), and the ability to effectively communicate with clients, peers, and supervisors to uphold HCS’s reputation for technical excellence and operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor Field Service Technicians on-site and offshore.
  • Lead the planning and preparation of offshore campaigns, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
  • Install, operate, and troubleshoot IWOCS, subsea equipment, and associated high-pressure systems.
  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and testing of IWOCS and subsea tooling in both offshore and workshop environments.
  • Interpret and work with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic engineering drawings.
  • Conduct hydrostatic testing, flushing, and gas testing of surface and subsea equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with HCS and client QHSE policies, implementing safety management systems.
  • Use and communicate Quality and Safety-based process tools proactively.
  • Create and review detailed service reports, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and operational documentation.
  • Display professional behaviour, maintaining respectful communication with peers, clients, and supervisors.
  • Support customer site integration testing of wellhead and control systems.
  • Take responsibility for personal and team safety, maintaining a clean, efficient, and hazard-free working environment.
