Our People & Culture

We feel confident you will find working with HCS different from other service supply companies. Our drive to deliver unrivalled standards of customer service sets us apart; and this all down to our talented teams and how we work.

Our Culture

HCS has a loyal workforce.  Employees know each other on first name terms and the roles and responsibilities of everyone are clearly understood.  Our friendly, informal culture makes face to face communication more popular than email.

Cross Functional Project Teams

We manage projects through cross functional teams which ensure the progress and required actions of every project are clearly understood by every department.  Collectively sharing our skills, knowledge and experience ensures the best possible standard of service for our clients.

Knowledge Drives Success

We recognise knowledge and skills are factors which can drive even better business performance for the company.   Employees therefore, keen to undertake continuous professional development (CPD), are encouraged and supported.  For example, all members of our project management team have been supported in becoming APM qualified.

Investing in our People

We support the philosophy of promoting talent from within our business.  Many of the supervisors and managers at HCS have come ‘through the ranks’ and understand our business from the bottom-up.

Offshore Skills Development

HCS invests heavily in the training and skills development of qualified technicians who show potential to work offshore on client projects.

Complacency is not in our Culture

Our Commitment to Apprenticeships

Even during the downturn, HCS maintained investment in their apprenticeship programme.  Today we are very proud that approximately 20% of our time-served technicians joined as apprentices.
