We have been designing topside and subsea equipment for over 20 years. Our extensive library of approved designs can often be adapted to reduce lead times, and potentially, costs on new projects. We have successfully developed innovative engineering solutions to overcome a wide range of industry challenges over the years.
We are renowned for our skills in designing and engineering high quality bespoke equipment. We can reference examples of assets manufactured by us more than 15 years ago and still operational in the field today – see our case study. In terms of design features, we prioritise operator safety, but equally ensure our equipment is as easy and efficient to use and maintain as possible.
Our engineering design team is highly knowledgeable about the latest legislation, industry developments and design techniques. The team currently uses the 3D developer software Solidworks to construct complex assemblies. 3D renders from this system ensure the design of every project component is fully optimised.
We are very proud that our umbilical reelers have a world-class reputation for quality, safety and performance; but we are not complacent in thinking good design cannot be further improved. A core part of our internal design and quality process involves our design & engineering team, working collaboratively with offshore technicians and our quality team on areas of continuous improvement.
Our in-house engineering design team works consultatively across the business on every project. From initially supporting the sales team with the technical specification of RFQs, to subsequently supporting the project manager and operations team throughout the build process, their expertise is always on hand.
